Dispatch from the Next Great Consumer Brands Conference
May 11, 2017
Wild Poppy was one of just 11 food and beverage brands chosen by the Next Great Consumer Brands (NGCB) Conference to be showcased at the NASDAQ in Times Square on May 3. NGCB is the leading event for high-impact, high-potential consumer brands, the financial institutions that fuel their growth, and the industry leaders who accelerate it all. We’re following in the footsteps of past participants: Kind, Pirate’s Booty, Evolution Fresh, Pretzel Crisps, PopChips, and Spindrift.
In front of a standing-room-only crowd, Mike Thorne, Wild Poppy’s Director of Sales, said, “Our aim is to bring clean drinks to the largest consumed product category in the world… What is most exciting for me is that we are going beyond the natural channel and into the mass market.”
The reaction from conference goers was overwhelmingly positive. Even people who didn’t consider themselves soda drinkers remarked at how impressed they were with the taste of the sodas and loved that they were made with a few simple ingredients.
Mixing it up
Wild Poppy fans often tell us they enjoy mixing our beverages to make great tasting cocktails. At the NGCB Conference Wild Poppy teamed with fellow presenter Prohibition Distillery to whip up a delicious cocktail called “The Consensus” using their Bootlegger 21 Gin, our Grapefruit Ginger drink, and club soda. Suffice it to say, this refreshment was well-received during the social hour.
We would like to thank the NGCB for selecting Wild Poppy this year. NGCB and the NASDAQ know how to throw a conference that brings the right people together. Not only did we meet new interested parties but it was great to connect with existing customers and fans who came by to see us. Onward and upward!
